Sunday Worship: St Thomas' Church In Person and Online

Updated 26th November 2021

We are now meeting in-person for Sunday worship. Live streaming of services will also continue.

Please join us for Advent and Christmas - details here.

Church in-person and online

Church meets at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings, and our focus is on a genuine encounter with God through relationships, our worship together, praying, and engaging with the bible. We especially aim for our times together to be clear and accessible to guests with no church background or who are exploring the Christian faith.

It's not necessary to book in advance to come in person on a Sunday but, if you can do this, it helps us with the gathering of the necessary track and trace information. If you wish to book, please email or phone our church office at churchoffice@saintthomas.org.uk, tel:  0131 285 8782.

Worship events, including Sunday services and midweek prayers, are available online at:

Church in the building - what will and won’t happen on Sunday mornings:

  • We will endeavour to provide a warm welcome!
  • We will be together for about an hour for a mixture of prayer, music and Bible teaching.
  • We have a communion service on the 3rd Sunday each month - that service is a little longer, about one and a half hours.
  • Our groups for children and young people meet during the service.
  • Pre-service registration is not essential but, as we are still required to gather data for track & trace purposes, it's helpful if you book ahead by phoning the church office on Thursday morning.
  • People who feel unwell should stay at home.
  • Hand sanitiser stations are available for use on arrival and on leaving.
  • Face coverings are to be used inside.
  • No physical contact - 1 metre social distancing at all times.
  • We can sing!
  • We are currently serving refreshments outside after the service.
  • Cleaning of surfaces post-worship.
